Zusammenfassung:	This invention relates to a shock absorber for use with a command link controlled missile system. The shock absorber is designed to absorb the shocks produced by launch and missile movements and is particularly applicable to fibre optic command link systems. The shock absorber comprises a spring 8 and a clamp 20, 21 at one or at each end for the fibre. Each tube or each clamp includes a collar 15 of relatively left force threading material compressed onto the fibre by resilient fingers 14 on a first clamp part 11 which screw-threadedly engages a second clamp part 9 to force the fingers 14 towards each other.
