Zusammenfassung:	A method of, and system for, creating a pixel clock for a scanner of the type having a laser radiant energy source 26 and a rotating spinner mirror, comprising providing a spinner motor 224 and rotating it at a constant velocity, providing means 228 for encoding the angular velocity of the spinner motor to create a first frequency with a given first resolution, dividing the first frequency by a given constant 315 to create a second frequency having a second resolution, selecting the given constant such that the second resolution is substantially higher than the first resolution, and using the second frequency as a pixel clock to shift image data to a laser radiant energy source 26 to image a media sheet having a photosensitive surface.
