5'-Methylthioadenosine nucleosidase as cofactor for transmethylation

5'-Methylthioadenosine nucleosidase is used as a cofactor for carminomycin 4-O-methyltransferase. The system may be used to convert carminomycin, especially when present as a contaminant in daunorubicin solution, into daunorubicin (daunomycin, daunomycinone).
