Zusammenfassung: | An energy attenuation system for absorbing at least a portion of the force impulse imparted to an occupant 16 of an aircraft during a crash comprises a seat 10, an air bag module 100 and a sensor 200 (Figure 2, not shown). The air bag module 100 includes an air bag 102 positioned and deployable below the seat 10 to allow the seat 10 and its occupant 16 to move in the direction of the applied impact forces under a controlled stroking force. The sensor 200 may be electro-mechanical or mechanical. Also disclosed is an aircraft seat track assembly in which a seat is attached using restraining fittings (Figure 5, not shown) to two rail members (Figure 4, not shown) fixed to the aircraft wall. |
