Coated Substrates

A polymeric article, for example a vehicle component, comprises a thermoplastic coating layer on a thermoplastic substrate wherein the coating layer, which may be a paint layer or an electrically conductive layer, comprises a thermoplastic reversibly crosslinkable material incorporating at least one substance selected from finely divided relatively infusible materials, UV stabilisers and antioxidants and the substrate may be recycled material. The article, which may be recyclable, may be prepared by in-mould coating processes in which the coating material in softened or molten form is applied to the mould surface before, or substantially simultaneously with the introduction of the substrate material. Thermal spraying, multiple injection and co-extrusion/blow moulding processes are described.
