Zusammenfassung:	A detection antenna for detecting the coding of a pigeon foot-ring which has a store containing the coding and a ferrite antenna, comprises antenna windings 3 carried by a winding carrier 1, 2 said carrier having an opening 5 in a portion enclosed by the said windings. The ring is read by inserting the pigeon's foot into the opening. This ensures correct alignment of the ring and reading windings 3, ensuring quick and accurate transfer of the stored data.
