Zusammenfassung:A transducer for a scene stimulator capable of converting incoming visible radiation to infra-red comprises a substrate 3 which is opaque to visible radiation but transparent to infra-red. The face of the substrate that is before the scene to be simulated is provided with plurality of membranes 1i. Each membrane is mechanically linked to the substrate 3 at its ends only to ensure that it is thermally insulated from the substrate and the other membranes 1i. The transducer is used to simulate infrared scenes when testing optronic equipment.
