Zusammenfassung:	A safety device for controlling the introduction of a liquid anaesthetic from a storage container into a vaporizer by means of an adapter 4 comprises a lockable closure device 140 which is locked in a closed position until the adapter is fully inserted into inlet opening 3. A member on the adapter, projection 9 or recess (90, Figure 9), displaces a locking pin (21, Figure 4) of the device. The device can be switched from the closed to an open position, by rotating control disc 15, only when the adapter is fully inserted with its anaesthetic and aeration channels 5, 6 aligned with anaesthetic and aeration channels in the closure device 140. The locking pin is displaceable in a bore in the stem (14, Figure 4) of the disc 15. A screw 13 presses the adapter against a seal 11 and the rate of filling may be read in viewing glass 12.
