Zusammenfassung:A hydrodynamic torque converter (1) has a rotatable casing (6) driven from a vehicle engine, with an input-side casing wall (7) provided with a guide hub (9) and an input-remote casing wall (8) formed with an integral pump wheel (4), a turbine wheel (10) arranged between the pump wheel (4) and the input-side casing wall (7) and connected to an output, and a bypass clutch (16) operative between the input-side wall (7) and the turbine wheel (10). The bypass clutch (16) has a piston (15) having a friction surface (18), with a corresponding friction surface (17) being provided on the wall (7) and a friction plate (3) arranged between them and mounted on an integral portion of the wall of the turbine wheel (10).
