Rigid fastener for housing assembly

A fastener (100) for housing assembly (290). The fastener (100) is comprised of a key (10) having a hooked end portion (28) formed to project beneath a front housing assembly portion (20), and a track member (60) formed in a sidewall of a rear housing assembly portion (72). Top (32) and bottom (44) face surfaces of the hooked projecting portion (28) of the key, and top (80) and bottom (76) ledge surfaces of the track member (60) are semicircular in configuration. Interfitting surfaces of the front (20) and rear (60) housing assembly portions are also semicircular in configuration. The key engages with the track member, and when the key is translated radially to position the key at a fastening side of the track member, the front and rear housing portions become fastened together.
