| Zusammenfassung: | A sewing machine, eg a locking stitch machine, has the ability to telescope when not in use and fold to form a slim and compact package. With the use of splined telescopic drive shafts (2, 4 and 1, 3), it is possible to telescope the lower and upper arms (11, 12 and 9, 10). The upper arm can be pivoted through 90 DEG about the axis of the lower arm, a collar (5) normally holding the upper arm in position. The machine is driven by a battery-powered motor (7). |
