| Zusammenfassung: | A duplex computer system is constructed of two computer (or processor) systems FC1, FC2 connected with a common backboard bus L1 and a plurality of I/O units to be controlled by the computer systems. Each computer is composed of a CPU unit 10 having a self-diagnosis function for outputting a ready signal CPURDYO indicating whether or not the operations can be normally accomplished, a communication interface unit 2 for the backboard bus, and a duplex control unit 15 which receives the ready signal outputted from the CPU unit for controlling the two computer systems to determine which of the computer systems is brought into a control status while the other is brought into a standby status. There is no independent duplex control unit between the two computer systems and thus trouble in one computer system will not influence the operations of the other computer system. |
