Zusammenfassung:	In a variable flow pump an outer casing 2 has a slot through which a lever 1 joined to a cylinder 3 protrudes. The inner surface of the cylinder 3 is in one position (A) of lever 1 coaxial with a vaned rotor 6 and in another position (B) of lever 1 non-coaxial with the rotor, these positions corresponding respectively to zero and maximum flow rates and pressure of the pump. It is stated that this pump may be used to obtain a variable speed transmission when the discharge of the pump is connected to a gear pump in which the gear pump will be driven by the flow of the variable pump. At a constant speed and force the pump pressure and flow will vary depending on the position of the lever which makes it suitable to be used as a variable speed transmission.
