Zusammenfassung:	The useful life of scale inhibitors injected within a formation is prolonged by injecting an aqueous solution of polyquaternary amino into the formation. This solution of polyquaternary amino can be injected either prior to or simultaneously with the injection of scale inhibitor, which is preferably a non-polymeric scale inhibitor. The polyquaternary amino may be a poly(dimethyl-amine-co-epichlorohydrin) or a poly(diallyl-dimethylammonium chloride).
