Zusammenfassung: | A floating-caliper spot-type disc brake is provided with resilient means for positively moving the indirectly actuated brake shoe 10 to an inoperative position away from the brake disc on termination of braking, and for allowing adjustment of the inoperative position on wear of the brake shoe. As illustrated, on brake actuation brake shoe 10 will be moved against bias of spring tongues 28, and should travel of the brake shoe 10 exceed distance S due to wear the elements 24, 24' will be moved along carrier arms 2, 3. In a second embodiment, the brake shoe 10 is moved against bias of rubber elements (34, Fig. 7) and will be moved axially along the rubber elements when the brake shoe is worn. In further embodiments leaf springs (38, 45, Figs 8-11) positively return the brake shoe 10 and allow for adjustment due to wear. |
