Device for delayed activation of a valve

In a device for delayed activation of a valve, in particular a valve of a fire extinguishing installation, the delay time is able to be set by an electromechanically driven delay device (1) which acts on the opening element (3) of the valve by means of a trigger mechanism (2). Built-in between the delay device (1) and the trigger mechanism (2) is a power transmitter (5), which is arrestable by a locking element (4). When needed, e.g. in the event of fire, after the expiration of the delay time, the power transmitter (5) is released by the locking element (4), actuating the trigger mechanism (2) which in turn activates the valve.
