Zusammenfassung:	A press die includes a lower die 12 and an upper die 11, vertically movable toward and away from the lower die, on which an upper blade 11a is mounted. A trimming edge 12b on the lower die trims a workpiece W placed on the lower die, in cooperation with the upper blade to part scrap S from a pressed product when the upper die is lowered to press the work. A scrap cutting member 14 arranged at a level below the trimming edge 12b cooperates with a blade 16 to cut the scrap into pieces, a force converting mechanism eg. cam 17 converting part of the downward force exerted on the upper die, to actuate the blade 16 via pin 16b. When the upper die is raised a spring 8 restores the scrap blade 16 to open position.
