Zusammenfassung:A device for gripping and manipulating a plantlet during micropropagation procedures, comprises a pair of cantilevered rollers (20 and 20A) projecting from a pair of support members (15 and 15A) which are pivotally mounted on a sub frame (11). The rollers are driven by respective stepper motors (23) and can be moved towards and away from each other by pivoting of the support members by means of a pneumatic cylinder (34). A plantlet can be gripped by controlled movement of the rollers apart and towards each other and can be lifted by rotation of the rollers in counter rotation. A further controlled movement can be applied by moving one of the rollers (20A) along the direction of its axis of rotation.
