Zusammenfassung:	Imidazole derivatives of the formula [wherein R1, R2, R'1, and R'2, which can be the same or different, are H, CH3 or C2H5, C3H7, OCH3, OH, CH2OH, NO2, NH2, CN or halogen; R' is H or where R3 is H, CH3 or halogen; R4 is H or OH and R5 is H or R4 and R5 together form a bond; and n is 0 to 4] and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts exhibit aromatase and desmolase inhibiting properties. Very selective aromatase inhibiting compounds are valuable in the treatment of estrogen dependent diseases, e.g. breast cancer.
