Generation of fine bubbles
Fine gaseous bubbles are generated in a liquid ambient by simultaneously emitting a gas and a liquid stream through co-planar orthogonally opposed orifices (15, 16; 36, 38) in separate gas and liquid conduits (12, 14; 32, 34) at liquid velocities sufficient to generate localised shear fields at the...

Zusammenfassung: | Fine gaseous bubbles are generated in a liquid ambient by simultaneously emitting a gas and a liquid stream through co-planar orthogonally opposed orifices (15, 16; 36, 38) in separate gas and liquid conduits (12, 14; 32, 34) at liquid velocities sufficient to generate localised shear fields at the gas orifices, thereby permitting the production of fine bubbles even at high volumetric gas flow to liquid flow ratios; i.e., at volumetric gas flow to liquid flow ratios ranging from about 1:1 to about 20:1 or more. The liquid forced through the liquid conduit may be the same as, or different from, the liquid of the liquid ambient. |
