PROPELLER/FAN PITCH FEATHERING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of balance weights by providing a feathering means with a unison ring, balance weights and a means for driving propeller blades to a predetermined pitch when the balance weights are rotated radially outward from the propeller axis. CONSTITUTION: A weight 62 is supported by a clamp 100 which is rotated around an axis 102, and a support member 103 is attached to an outer support ring 105 so as to be rotated around a propulser axis together with a propeller blade 42 which are rotated around an axis 62 so that its pitch is changed. A lever 106 is coupled to the blade 42, and a ball joint 108 is coupled to a boss 112 of a unison ring 114 by means of a link 110. The ring 114 is coupled to a clamp 100 by means of another link 134. Centrifugal force indicated by an arrow 118 is rotated to the weight 92 to a position 92A so that the boss 112 of the ring 114 is pulled toward a position 112A, and the lever 10 is pulled to a position 106A, thereby the pitch is changed.
