Zusammenfassung: | A hollow carrier of plant origin 15 filled with living or permeabilised enzymatically active microorganisms or with enzymes. The biocatalysis module consists of an extracted intact plant or an extracted intact plant part with an air-filled tissue rich in intercellular spaces, namely the aerenchyma, which is outwardly limited by a sealed barrier tissue with hydrophilic cell walls, and contains cells or enzymes of a foreign organism. The method for producing the biocatalysis module consists in that foreign cells or enzymes are absorbed into the aerenchyma of an extracted uncomminuted plant or of an uncomminuted plant organ through an open connection or introduced therein by means of injection. Aerenchyma-rich strip-shaped or cylindrical plant bodies enable the hitherto unknown introduction of cell-free enzymes into a plant hollow carrier, e.g. into aerenchyma-rich lyophilised and extracted roots. |
