Zusammenfassung:A container(2) such as a wide-necked glass yogurt pot possesses a flexible lid (1), which after removal of a tamper-evidence ring (16) can be lifted off and can subsequently be replaced again in a leak-tight manner. In order to prevent the lid being opened without prior removal of the ring (16) and then replaced again, the ring (16) has an inwardly projecting rib (18) which engages in a channel (22) and which on its underside bears sealingly on the shoulder of an outwardly projecting rib (5) of the container (2). A conical surface on the inside of the rib (18) centres the lid (1) when it is pulled on, and prevents the inner edge of the ring (16) being bent inwards when this is done.
