Zusammenfassung:	In a device for descaling the surface of strip each electromagnet (9) is oriented in the plane (abcd) of a shaft (11), its poles (N and S) are located along the region of passage of the treated strip (5), whereas its cavity (14) between the poles (N and S) faces that region. The shaft (11) has in its cross-section a shape matching that of the electromagnet (9) and the fixed end of a blade (12) is placed in a recess (15) on the shaft (11).
