Zusammenfassung:	The decelerator device (1) consists of two central rotor discs (26, 28) and two lateral stator discs (25, 29) which when pressed by suitable actuators (52) transfer friction pressures able to reduce the vehicle speed. Conveniently, said discs (25, 26, 28, 29) are formed of carbon composite, and metal e.g. steel discs (27, 30) are formed with radial through bores for the passage of cooling air.
