Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A bale press comprises a chain drive of a tying shaft and adjusting means acting of the chain (19) for exact matching of the movement of a tying needle (20) during a tying operation with that of a press piston (21). The adjusting means comprises two levers (5), which are each mounted at one end thereof on a bracket (4) and at the other end thereof carry a respective tensioning roller (8). The levers are connected together by a threaded spindle, which is provided at one end with a lefthand thread and at the other end with a righthand thread and which is screwed into rotatably mounted threaded members of the levers (5). The spindle is fastened centrally to the bracket (4) to be axially displaceable. If the spindle is turned, chain (19) is tensioned or relieved and if the spindle is displaced in axial direction a driven chain wheel on a tying shaft is rotated so that the setting of the needle point relative to the press piston front is changed.
