Zusammenfassung:	Apparatus for alerting the driver of a vehicle fitted with a tachograph of the need or option to change the setting of his tachograph instrument in which the operational state of the vehicle is monitored and compared with an indication of the setting of the tachograph or the previous operational state of the vehicle. When disparity occurs warning means is energised to alert the driver. The tachograph indications may be obtained in several ways: by feedback from the electrical signals inside the instrument itself; by electrical signals from means externally coupled with the tachograph mode selecting switch; or by a manual switch means operated by the driver in response to an alert each time the vehicle's status changes.
