Zusammenfassung: | A method for refining vegetable oils comprising treatment of hydrated vegetable oils with an aqueous solution of alkali, concentration 100-200 g/l, in an amount of 5-20% of that theoretically required for complete neutralization of free fatty acids in oil, at a temperature of 15-30 DEG C, and separation of sediment from the treatment hydrated vegetable oil at a temperature of 15-30 DEG C. Before separating the sediment, an aqueous solution of sodium chloride may be added to the treated oil to reduce oil loss. |
