Zusammenfassung: | A catalyst suitable for hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons with hydrogen comprises a membrane made from an alloy of 80-95% by mass of palladium and 5-20% by mass of ruthenium or rhodium and consisting of a non-porous layer and a porous layer positioned on one side or both sides of said non-porous layer. The catalyst may be prepared by a process in which copper or mercury is applied on one or both sides, of the surface of a membrane made from the above mentioned alloy, the thickness ratio of the layer of copper or mercury to the membrane is of from 1:10 to 1:100 respectively; the membrane with the deposited there onto copper is maintained at a temperature within the range of from 300 to 800 DEG C, the membrane with mercury deposited thereon is maintained at a temperature of from -10 to 150 DEG C, whereafter copper or mercury is chemically recovered from the membrane. |
