Zusammenfassung: | A D/A converter is followed by a low-pass filter. To convert the digital signal values with a small amount of circuitry to an analogue signal that permits high-quality reproduction (e.g. stereo sound), the D/A converter is preceded by a coding circuit which transforms the digital signal values into pulse packets (22) each consisting of a number of pulses following each other without interruption. The repetition rate of these pulse packets is a multiple of the repetition rate of the signal values. The pulse packets (22) are largely symmetrical with respect to centerlines (ML) spaced at equal time intervals. A pulse on one and/or the other side of the centerline (ML) has an amplitude smaller than or equal to a maximum value, and all other pulses of the pulse packet (22) have the maximum value. The voltage-time area of each pulse packet (22) corresponds to the respective digital signal value. |
