Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to the novel compound 3-(3-methyl-1-piperazine)-butylamine and to an alkaline salt promoter system which includes 2 to 20% by weight of this N-aminoalkyl alkylpiperazine, 10 to 40% by weight alkali metal salt or hydroxide (e.g. K2 CO3), optionally 2 to 20% by weight amino acid having 4 to 8 carbon atoms, and water. These scrubbing compositions may be used for removing CO2 from gaseous streams containing CO2.
