Zusammenfassung:A vessel 1 is placed in the circulation circuit of the cutting liquid or in a branch of the circuit. Inserts 2 carrying a solid conservation substance 3 are placed in the vessel 1. The conservation substance is arranged in inserts formed by a netting with meshes smaller than the size of particles of the conservation substance. The conservation substance can be arranged also in inserts formed by cases with perforated walls, the perforation being smaller than the size of particles of the conservation substance. The conservation substance can be also conveniently fixed on the surface of the inserts, e.g. by an adhesive or a coat of paint or mechanically. The cutting liquid circulates through the vessel 1 and the microorganisms contained in it are killed by contact with the conservation substance 3.
