Zusammenfassung:	Access control equipment for restricting unauthorised access to stored or transmitted data or to secure premises, suitable for use with an appropriate interrogation unit, takes the form of a transponder which is encapsulated in an electrically non-conductive material and comprises at least one programmable code-carrying means, logic elements and at least one algorithm sealed therein. For example, the transponder may include a microprocessor with non-volatile memory for storing the code and/or the algorithm, and signals may be passed to and from the encapsulated transponder by electromagnetic or other non-contact coupling. The system described is particularly for restricting access to terrestrial and satellite video and audio broadcasts.
