Zusammenfassung:	A screw adjuster comprises a tube (3) with an internal screw-thread with which an externally screw-threaded rod (7) is engaged and an operating handle or lever (10) comprising a pair of slotted arms (11, 12) pivotally mounted on the tube (3) by means of pins (14) which are located in the slots of said arms (11, 12). The ends of the arms (11, 12) are connected together by arcuate bridge elements (15) which extend in opposite directions and which are engageable with the tube (3) when the arms are located in a stowage position in which they extend substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tube as shown in the drawing. The arms can be pivoted from this position to an operative position in which they can cause rotation of the tube (3). The tube (3) is mounted for rotation in bearings (4) in lugs (5, 6) on base (2).
