Microscope having a motor-drive objective turret

A microscope with an objective turret which is motor driven to interchange objectives, the motor being stopped automatically in the various individual turret positions in which the desired objective lens is positioned in the optical path of the microscope, is provided with at least one further motor-driven movement between the initial and final positions of the turret, whereby the object being viewed and the objective are separated by a greater distance to facilitate manual operations on the object stage or on the objective; subsequently, upon the actuation of a control signal, the movement is revened to the original relative positions of the object and the objective.
