Corrugating non-woven fabric

An apparatus for use in manufacturing textile floorcoverings, comprising a movable surface (13) having a plurality of substantially parallel channels (12) defined by walls (14) between the channels (12), the surface (13) being intended to carry a web of textile material which is to be urged into the channels (12) thereby to form loops of the material, the movable surface (13) being arranged to be driven by means of a worm gear (15) which meshes with the channel walls (14), and there being a ramming rim (17) which is arranged to cooperate with one after another of said channels (12) to form said loops of material when the surface (13) is being driven by the worm gear (15), the ramming rim (17) being arranged to be driven such that it will enter one after another of said channels (12) and, while it (17) is in a channel (12), will travel in the same direction as said surface (13) and at the same speed thereas.
