Zusammenfassung:	A pig includes a self-propelled vehicle having an endless crawler extended over an idle wheel and a drive wheel through the intermediary of guide rollers on each side thereof and the motion of a driving motor mounted on the vehicle is transmitted to the endless crawler thereby freely moving the vehicle within a pipe. The apparatus includes an operating unit for automatic grinding-cleaning or coating purposes which is mounted on the forward end of the vehicle, a radioactive substance mounted on the vehicle for detecting the position of movement of the vehicle, an inside television camera mounted on the vehicle for monitoring the internal conditions of the pipe and a cleaning unit mounted on the rear end of the vehicle.
