and thereafter decomposing the product obtained in acid conditions to give a compound of formula (I) in which R is a hydrogen atom, or acylating the product obtained to give a compound of formula (I) in which R is aroyl or C1-4 alkanoyl.
The compounds prepared can be used as intermediates in preparing permethrin and other pyrethroid insecticides. |
