Zusammenfassung:The invention provides substituted N-aniline-4-chloro-3- sulphamoyl benzamides of the general formula I wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R is a methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, 2- hydroxyethyl or phenyl group and a process for production thereof which comprises acylation of substituted hydrazines of general formula II with a 4-chloro-3-sulphamoylbenzoyl halide preferably the chloride. Compounds of general formula I have diuretic and saliuretic activity and significant antihypertension effect.
