Improved Means for Jointing Wires

Pliers, cutters, &c.- Relates to means for jointing wires, particularly electric conductors, by the method described in Specification 10,618/15, wherein the ends of the wires a, a , Fig. 6, with the insulation removed in the case of conductors, are inserted side by side in a short metal tube b, and the tube and wires are then crushed together and crimped or corrugated transversely, and comprises pliers adapted for crimping the joint. These pliers comprise hand-levers c pivoted together at c , and also pivoted at c to levers d pivoted together at d'. The upper ends of the levers d are formed with crimping-jaws d serrated longitudinally of the pliers, and preferably also with cutters e.
