Zusammenfassung: | 8249. Thomas, E. Moy-. June 3. P l a t e s and the like, travelling. - A p p a r a t u s for d i s p l a y i n g photographs, advertisements, &c., carried on cards which are successively displayed without bending or folding, is shown in section. The cards O, Q, Rare each provided with a rod P adapted to travel over guides M, N. The card O is on view through the glass front X of the casing, the rod P being supported on a pair of star-wheels J, which are prevented from rotating by a pawl K. In action, a card, say R, is raised by teeth I on a pair of chains H, being guided by the guide M. When the card reaches the pawl K, this is tilted and the card O falls down the guide N. The card R continues to rise and then falls over the upper end of the guide M into the position formerly occupied by the card 0, being pressed forward by a weighted arm Y. The apparatus may be operated by an electric motor S and may be illuminated. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 17,792/02. |
