Zusammenfassung: | 786. Bedford, M. E. Jan. 23, 1914, [Convention date]. Sale apparatus; delivery mechanism.-A vertical pile of articles 12 normally rests on a spring- controlled delivery slide 29, to which is attached an external handle 9. After the insertion of a coin, the purchaser presses back the slide, permitting the articles to drop on to a base-plate 28 ; the slide, during its return movement, thrusts out the lowest article through a delivery slot 6. Coin action, weight.-The coin inserted in a shoot 15 depresses a detent 23, which normally prevents back movement of the slide. The slide thrusts the coin past a hinged flap 21 forming the bottom of the rear-side of the coin shoot. Coin-slit closing-devices.-When the supply of articles is exhausted, a following weight 13 draws taut a cord 20 and withdraws a spring detent 19 from a slide 16, which is thereupon moved by a spring to block the coin slot. An indicator 14 carried by the following weight may be viewed through apertures in the casing and serves to indicate at any time the number of articles in the apparatus. |
