This is effected, as shown by Fig. 1, by fitting the substage of an ordinary microscope with a tube E carrying an eyepiece system E at its upper end and an objectglass E at the lower end. Fig. 2 shows the optical system and its action. By removing the object-glass and reversing the tube E end for end in the substage fitting, the arrangement described in Specification 13,251/12 may be realized. |
