Zusammenfassung: | 8167. Rauch, O. March 31. Washing-machines with closed rotary receptacles. -In rotary washing machines wherein the drum can be turned at right-angles to its normal axis of rotation in order to be charged or discharged, this secondary turning is effected on journals provided on the periphery of the drum. The drum a is rotated for washing purposes on pins d, e which are normally screw-threaded into journals b, c on the drum ends. The drum periphery carries a pair of bearings k, l which can be engaged bysliding spring controlled pins m, n mounted in the framing o, so that, after disconnecting the pins d, e, the drum can be turned into an upright position. The springs P on the pins m, n tend to force the pins inwards ; but this is normally prevented by projections s thereon except when the pins are turned to enable the projections to pass through notches t. |
