Zusammenfassung: | 26,344. Alltree, A. Nov. 17. Clutches, arrangements and applic a t i o n s of.-A multiple - plate clutch e, e is held in a bracket b which is adjustably secured to the frame members c of a motor - cycle by means of a clamping-plate b and a nut and bolt d', d. The part a' of the stationary axle a is held in a split lug b which is tightened by a nut and bolt. The part e of the clutch drives the part e and' pulley g through the clutch plates e and carries the chain - wheel f. The clutch plates are disengaged by means of a rod h having a cross-pin h' which when moved to the left takes the pressure of the spring-pressed plate i off the clutch plates. A spur pinion k is connected in one direction with the clutch member e by means of pawls k and ratchet teeth e , and is rotated by engaging with a tcothed segment m on a spindle o having a handle or pedal n. In modifications, the bracket supports the rotating axle and may be adjustable relatively to the clamping- plate, which in this case is integral with the framing. |
