Zusammenfassung: | 19,077. Fougner, N. K. Aug. 22. Caissons; floating docks.-Relates to the construction of barges, caissons, floating docks, &c. of reinforced concrete of the type described in Specifications 29,938/12 and 29,939/12, [both in Class 113 (ii), Ships and boats, Kinds &c. of]. The Figures show the application to a lighter, but floating docks and caissons are similarly formed of a framework of longitudinal and transverse trusses provided with a skin of reinforced concrete so as to make a hollow water-tight structure. The deck reinforcement consists of rods E, F, G over and between the beams D which are reinforced with rods H, I. Stirrups J may be provided. The bottom A is constructed like the deck, but reversed. The ends consist of a slab C and beam D'. The sides consist of flat slabs with vertical stiffeners and longitudinal beams at the top and bottom. They are reinforced like the bottom A , but with the addition of diagonal tension-rods between the stiffeners. The interior trusses shown in Fig. 4 consist of vertical V, diagonals W, and chords X, X . An open transverse truss Y and bulkhead V are shown in Fig. 5. |
