Indicating particular readings. - An electric s i g n a l device for pressure gauges and measuring - instruments generally, adapted to give an audible alarm when a certain reading is exceeded, comprises an alarm - pointer 7 adapted to be set to any predetermined position by means ot a wormwheel 6 gearing with a worm 14 on an insulated spindle 15. At the selected reading, the pointer 1 of the gauge abuts against a contact-piece 10, which is spring-mounted in a sleeve 9 carried by the alarm-pointer 7 so that a limited movement of the gauge-pointer is permitted after contact is first made.
