Handles; opening by cutting.-A removable handle is secured to an oil-can or other vessel by cam-pieces H, Fig. 1, which grip the sides of the vessel against depending parts C . The parts H are pivoted at F, and are adapted to be turned by levers G . The hand-grip may be built up of pieces D of wood riveted to the metal plate C, or may consist of a piece of metal E, Fig. 5, curved in cross-section. The parts C are sharpened at their lower edges so that the handle may be used, in conjunction with a mallet, to remove the top of the can &c. |
