Plug couplings.-A hand shield for a wall plug consists of a disk B, of fireproof or like material, having holes G, H for the terminals and the clamping-screws respectively, and a boss or distance-piece C, which may be in one with, or separate from, the shield disk and which has grooves F for the cables. The shield and boss are fixed, by means of screws, between the cover or handle A of an ordinary wall plug and the insulating-base D carrying the pins E. In a modification, the distance-piece is omitted, the grooves for the cables being formed in the shield disk, in the insulating-base, or partly in either.
