Zusammenfassung: | 167. Richards, W. A., and Redrup, C. B. Jan. 3. Exhaust - silencers.- In a silencer for rotating-cylinder engines, a stationary annular chamber C attached by lugs C to a fixed part has inwardly - directed webs C which receives nozzles B carriedby a rotating annular chamber A connected by pipes D to the rotating cylinders. The nozzles are nearly radial, and are backwardly-directed with respect to the direction of rotation. Perforations C' or large openings form the outlet to the atmosphere. As described in the Provisional Specification, the nozzles may project axially, or the rotating part may be dispensed with. |
